The following are questions you may want to ask during your interview process:
- Ask to see the Provider's License, CPR and First Aid cards. Does the Provider have any other certificates or awards that might be important?
- What training, education and experience does the Provider have? Does the Provider participate in continuing education? If so, what kind?
- What method of guidance or discipline does the Provider use?
- What is an average day like for the children?
- Ask for a list of families (past and present) that you can contact for recommendations.
- Most of all, observe the environment and the children in care.
