SWWFCCA offers parents a great resource by providing a list of Licensed Child Care Providers who are also members of SWWFCCA. Many of those Providers not only offer warm, nurturing, and lovingenvironments for young children, they also offer early learning andpreschool opportunites.

I have appricated the free forms and useful business information, STARS classes at their monthly meetings, listing on the referral page of their website, in-house training, networking, provider support, advocacy and much more. "Being a professional in childcare has become a demanding but enriching profession.
SWWFCCA has developed STARS classes to train licensed providers to respond appropriately to each child's needs. These classes provide guidance by focusing on interested areas. The classes that they offer helps foster creativity and development in each child.
As a STARS Trainer, the classes that SWWFCCA teaches, help guide, support, and develop the provider to teach in all aspects of early childhood. These STARS trainings display how the children learn from their daily interactions with their environment which includes the community that they are living in.

Family Childcare Providers from WA & OR have a great resource available within SWWFCCA that provides networking in many different areas to continually improve the quality, consistency and nurturing that is offered through childcare to the individual child and also the families of the children that Providers care for. High quality STARS classes are offered to not only enrich & develop safer, quality environments for children/community but also for the Provider, their own family members, and their business. Members needs are consistently met with integrity, resourcefulness, high ethical professional standards and creativeness, not only in tried/true early childhood education classes but also new, cutting edge ideas that are researched and brought forward for discussion within the membership at meetings, on the SWWFCCA website, and via the email group that is a daily source of information and exchange of ideas, help and guidance.
This Chapter brings joy, fun, laughter, respect, support and caring to it's members while meeting their Member's individual needs and the childcare Community as a whole. Being proactive in meeting and exceeding current WAC's is encouraged and implemented through knowledge/training/discussions, as well as offering help and resources for adverse licensing issues or licensing issues that are present with everyday care of children and their family that are part of family childcare. SWWFCCA also has several members heavily involved in leadership positions in, SEIU, the Negotiated Rule Making Team for the new WAC's, STARS Trainers, and NAFCC Accredited Providers which all adds up to an awesome pool of knowledge for our members to tap into. Each member brings something valuable and is welcomed to be as involved as they choose to be.
